Zippi,
How big can you take the Redline up to?
6′4″ or 6′6″?
What would the DIMS look like at that size?
Looking for a “fish” that will hold better than my standard fish (6′4″ x 21.75 x 2.75) when the local beachbreaks get steep and hollow. Dont like traditional shortboards. I am a very heavy front footed surfer. (6′1″, 200lbs)
Thanks for your time
Casey
~Casey,
The dims for the Redline are:
6′4″ x 22″ x 2 7/8″
6′6″ x 22 1/4″ x 2 7/8″
Please give me a call if you have any other questions.

Michael,
I am shopping for a new fish. I currently have a 6′ twin that is not as aggressive as I desire. I tried my friends Hynson 5′11″ twinzer and it was much more aggressive. I am an intermediate surfer 5′11″, 180-190 lbs(depending on season). I surf Venice a few times per week so you have an idea of the waves I am riding. Which Zippi board do you recommend for me to get to the next level?
Thanks,
Vindawg
~Michael,
I believe a 5′9″, a 5′10″, or possibly a 5′11″ will work for you.
I have demos of each of these boards.
Give me a call and you can check them out.

Zippi,
I am getting back into surfing after an 8 year hiatus. I live in the South Bay, and usually surf Manhattan Beach or the Avenues. I have a 9′0″ board that I have taken out a few times recently, but it just feels so constrictive. I am interested in getting a fish, but I am not sure what type and size would be the best for me. I would classify myself as an intermediate surfer who wants to get better. I prefer waist high days, but will surf anything from slop to head high. I am 6′0″ and fluctuate between 185 and 195 lbs. Also, the most difficult part of surfing to me is getting out on those bigger days. Thanks for your help.
Steve

Hey Zip,
Interested in a 6′2″ or 6′4″ Grouper. I’m 5′9″, 160lbs, and 53 y.o.. I ‘m more a weekend warrior now, surfing the mid-atlantic in summer and tropics now and then in winter. Would this size be good for me? Been surfing for 30yrs now even though not as much as I used to. Thanks for all your help. Psyched for a Zippi!

~Hi Rick,
A 5′2″ to 6′4″ sounds about right.

Zippi,
Wanted to let you know I picked up my custom 5′7″ Zippi from Ken and Ben down at Icons, the green one. I debated on waiting for the original brown one, but decided that I could not wait 2 more weeks to get on a Zippi. I have been riding it non-stop down here in South County and S.D. It works great in small knee high slop and chest high beachies and points. Can’t wait to test in this week in some decent head high surf.
